Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen and his Minority counterpart Moses Wetang’ula caused fireworks in the House when they exchanged bitterly – Murkomen was accused of ignoring the Minority side during a motion for the extension of the Senate calendar to allow for the election of MPs to EALA –
Wetang’ula was irked that the Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator opted to have his deputy Fatuma Dullo second the motion instead of leaving that to the Minority side as is the tradition from previous House – Murkomen argued that Wetangula missed a crucial Senate Committee meeting and had no right to second the motion Top Jubilee and NASA senators paralysed Senate proceedings on Thursday, Decemberr 7 when they engaged in a fierce war of words.
Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen was reprimanded by his minority counterpart Moses Wetang’ula for ignoring House procedures as had been set in last House.
