Independent electoral  and boundaries  chairman Wafula chebukati has suspended IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba hours after the labor and relations court quashed his suspension.In a letter dated 14th June 2018, the chairman wrote notifying that the ceo remains suspend because his contract prohibits use of confidential information without his knowledge.

“This is to notify you that following the meeting of the commission held on 14th June 2018 pursuant to Article 250(1) of the Constitution and Section 7 of the IEBC Act 2011, the commission has resolved to suspend you with immediate effect as CEO/ Accounting officer of the commission pending the completion of comprehensive audit of all major procurement relating to the General Election of 8th August 2017 and fresh presidential election held on 26th October 2017,” reads the letter.
